Michelle Jamieson is a creative, results-driven communication and marketing specialist who has a strong background in tourism, public relations and change management. Michelle centers on exploring new opportunities in tourism and the creative industries where communications, marketing and change management can be best utilized to help develop creative and innovative approaches to destination management with a strong focus on stakeholder management.
Having lived and worked in Southeast Asia for more than 15 years, Michelle has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the region, which is richly enhanced with international experience and a global perspective that allows her to provide effective solutions to complex issues. Michelle contributed to the ASEAN Tourism Marketing Strategy 2012 – 2015, in which she developed effective means for communication within this group of ten Southeast Asian countries.
Her most recent work was with a large international hospitality company as the Corporate Director of Marketing Communications where Michelle utilized destination marketing techniques paired with a variety of traditional as well as digital approaches to enhance the overall promotions and brand management for the company’s various brands as well as destinations. With a strong focus on exploring new opportunities for small and medium sized entities, Michelle has consulted with a wide spectrum of clients to assist them to navigate the changing business and political environment.
