MAIN STREET
REIMAGINED
THROUGH A VISITOR ECONOMY LENS
A Planning, Design, Economic and Preservation Handbook
This handbook will explore and provide evidence-based perspectives on the role of the visitor economy on the planning, design, and management of main street areas. The relationship between people, place, technology, design, visitors, and data will be highlighted throughout. Some of the relationships are complex, others may already be well understood, but will be examined with a visitor economy lens to allow for the evolution of these areas.
This handbook is designed to provide main street areas and planners with visitor economy-related concepts and directions for their main streets after the pandemic.

the chapters of the handbook are being 'built-out' over an 18 month period, using a range of discovery, research and engagement tools with each section evolving as a series of events, articles, case studies, and posts.
Stay tuned to Green Door Solutions LinkedIn page for updates on sections when they are published and call for partnerships or you can subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates.
